MarDon Resort Fresh News – March 25, 2022

MarDon Resort Fresh News – March 25, 2022

The current water level on the Potholes Reservoir is 1041.0 feet – dropping .55 feet over

the past week. The Reservoir should start filling any day now. Water temperatures are right

around 40 degrees on the main lake with temps hitting 46 back in the sand dunes.

Trolling has been producing some trout in front of Medicare Beach and the State Park. For

walleye, jig a รณ oz. blade bait, Rapala Jigging Rap or Whistle Pigs in 25-40 feet of water.

The Largemouth Bass fishing has picked up back in the sand dunes with fish up to 7.01

pounds being caught. Throw spinner baits, swim jigs, and pitch 1/2oz. jigs in either black &

blue or green pumpkin with a craw trailer.

No reports of perch, crappie or bluegill being caught. Still some time before they turn on.

If you plan to fish the Seep Lakes below the Reservoir – double check the regulations. The

year around lakes are obviously open, but because we no longer have the March opener,

most other Seep Lakes do not open until the fourth Saturday in April. It is also that time to

renew your fishing license – it expires March 31.

Call the MarDon Tackle Store for the latest fishing information at 509-346-2651.
