MarDon Resort Fresh News – February 7th, 2025

MarDon Resort Fresh News – February 7th, 2025

Burr, it’s cold. But not cold enough to freeze the main body of water. The dunes

and most of Lind Coulee are covered with ice. We have received unconfirmed reports of

just 3-5 inches of thickness. As of Friday morning, all the access ramps were free of ice

but that can change rapidly with the forecasted overnight temps in the low teens to

single digits. There have been very few diehards out trying their luck for panfish and

walleye, so the reports have been few and far between. Over the week of 1/31/25 to

2/07/2025 Potholes Reservoir has risen from 1043.26ft to 1043.54ft for a gain of 0.28ft.

Water temp was 34.3 degrees 2/06/2025 morning. To target winter eyes throw 1/2oz or

5/8oz Blade baits or #7 Jigging Raps in 20 to 40 FOW along perch point, in front of the

state park & around goose island. Anglers have also been finding perch mixed in with

the walleye. If you are an Eagle’s fan, the bald eagle’s have moved back on to potholes

reservoir. At any given time 7 to 12 adult & juvenile eagles can be seen from our lawn.

As always for more info or help choosing tackle, stop into our fully stocked tackle

shop. We also carry ammo, boating and hunting accessories and are open 7 days a

week all year or call the MarDon Resort Tackle store for current conditions and fishing

information at 509-346-2651
