MarDon Resort Fresh News – March 5, 2024
The current water level on the Potholes Reservoir is 1043.65 feet – dropping .10 feet this past
week. We are 2.85 feet below full pool. Surface temps are 38-42 degrees. The forecast for the
next 10 days shows us warming up with the highs in the 50s, but the lows are still in the mid to
upper 20s. That said – by March 16 we are forecasted to reach 63 degrees with a low of 40! It
won’t be long before the fish start moving!
Not much to report this week. We have had a lot of wind again – not many anglers out on the
water. If you venture out - jig blade baits and 3.50” swim baits on a . oz. jig head for walleye,
bass and trout. Jig in 18-35 feet of water across the face of the sand dunes. Corral Lake
continues to produce nice catches of trout from the bank casting Rooster Tails.
