The MarDon Open Bass Tournament was a complete success! Each of the 36 teams weighed bass on day one
except for 1 boat that had motor troubles.
Dana Steiner and Andy Smith had a shocking 26.82 pound bag on day
1! That is over a 5 pound fish
average. Dana and Andy won this
tournament with a two day combined weight of 49.09 pounds in 10 largemouth
bass. In 2nd place,Paul Hall
and Jarrid Turner weighed 45.56lbs in two days.
Moses Lake, Resident Aaron Echternkamp, fished with his 14 year old son
Mason and finished in 3rd place with 42.38 lbs. Overall the fisherman pulled in 335 fish with a 3.2 lb. average.
We want to thank all our fishermen for participating and we celebrate
the huge weights as a testament to the health of the fishing in Potholes
Reservoir. This is a catch/release
tourney so they live to be caught another day.
The MarDon Open is a fundraiser for our Central Washington Fish Advisory
Committee which is a non-profit 501-C3 that builds fish habitat boxes for
Potholes Reservoir.

see you there. It starts at 7pm sharp

Walleye Fishers are giving mixed reports throughout the sand
dunes. Crab Creek is producing some
limits but it has been challenging.
Smallmouth bass continue to be very active in the Lind
Coulee. You can also try the rocks
around Goose Island for a fun bite.
Trout action at Warden Lake has been showing many limits
using powerbait. You can also try Corral
